Faris Natour is the director of Research & Innovation at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR).
Faris took the helm in June 2008 as director of BSR’s growing research team, which produces independent, business-critical research to help companies anticipate emerging trends and implement sustainability strategies.
Faris, who now focuses on the intersection of human rights and business, joined BSR in 2005 as a manager in Advisory Services, where he developed solutions on CSR issues management, stakeholder engagements and supply chain management. He has done CSR reporting for a wide range of companies, including Delhaize Group, General Electric and Sodexo.
Prior to working at BSR, Natour spent four years as a social research analyst with Calvert Group, where he was responsible for investment analysis of environmental, social and governance factors and led the development of investment policies on human rights, bribery and corruption.
A native of Germany, Natour has a master’s degree in international law from George Washington University Law School and a law degree from University of Regensburg, Germany.
