G. John Ikenberry is the Peter F. Krogh Professor of Geopolitics and Global Justice in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Prior to joining the School of Foreign Service in 2000, Dr. Ikenberry taught at the University of Pennsylvania and Princeton University. From 1994 to 1998, he was co-director of the Lauder Institute of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ikenberry was also a Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars in Washington, D.C.
He is the author of numerous publications, including After Victory: Institutions, Strategic Restraint and the Rebuilding of Order after Major Wars, State Power and World Markets: The International Political Economy and Reasons of State: Oil Politics and the Capacities of American Government.
Mr. Ikenberry received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 1985.
