Maithreyi Seetharaman

Maithreyi Seetharaman is currently a candidate for a Master’s degree in International Relations at the Maxwell School of Citizenship, Syracuse University (New York).

Her focus is on the Political Economy of Reform and Privatization, specifically in Asia.

She has pursued her interest in, and commitment to, issues of governance, reform, industry and economic growth through her work as a senior correspondent and anchor for CNBC TV18, in India.

Ms. Seetharaman also covered these issues as a television correspondent and anchored shows that dealt with various facets of a fast growing economic Asian power. She has also been involved in unearthing white-collar crime as a reporter for the Indian national financial daily, The Financial Express.

Maithreyi holds a Bachelor in Commerce from Jai Hind College in India — and a Master of Journalism from Bond University in Australia.

She is currently completing her master’s degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship through its “Global Programs” semester in Washington, D.C.
