Richard Herzinger lives and works as a freelance columnist and analyst in Berlin. As an author, editor and political correspondent, Richard worked for “Die Zeit,” the Berlin “Tagesspiegel,” Switzerland’s “Die Weltwoche” and, most recently, from 2005 until 2020, for “Die Welt” and “Welt am Sonntag.”

As early as 1995, he warned of the resurgence of authoritarian and totalitarian powers and ideologies in his book “Endzeitpropheten oder die Offensive der Anti-Westler” (Apocalyptic Prophets or the Offensive of the Anti-Westerners), which he co-authored with Hannes Stein.

Richard writes for numerous German and international newspapers and magazines, among them “Neue Zürcher Zeitung” and “Internationale Politik.”

He is a regular columnist for the Ukrainian magazine Український Тиждень (The Ukrainian Week; tyzhden.ua) and the German online magazine “Perlentaucher.”
