Langston Hughes

Langston Hughes (1901 – 1967) was a poet, novelist, fiction writer and playwright.

He is known for his insightful, colorful portrayals of black life in the United States from the twenties through the sixties.

Hughes was important in shaping the artistic contributions of the Harlem Renaissance.
