Andrea Barron is Program Manager for International Affairs at The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars — which provides professional internships and seminars to more than 1,200 students a year from the United States and abroad — and is Director of the International Conflicts Seminar.
She has been an assistant professor of history (adjunct) at George Mason University since 1999, where she teaches courses on 20th Century Revolutions, the Arab-Israeli conflict and Third World Women. She also has taught classes on U.S. Foreign Policy at the University of the District of Columbia and Human Rights at The Washington Center.
Andrea has published articles on the Arab-Israeli conflict and Palestinian women in the “Miami Herald,” the “Jordan Times,” the “Jerusalem Post,” the “Journal of Palestine Studies,” the “Washington Jewish Week,” the “Muslim Democrat,” the independent Jewish weekly “The Forward" and "Critique — Critical Middle Eastern Studies.”
