Cornel West is a professor of Religion and African American Studies at Princeton University.
His teaching and research interests include philosophy of religion and cultural criticism.
Mr. West is a recipient of the American Book Award for “Race Matters” — and has received more than 20 honorary degrees.
He is the author of numerous other articles and books including “The American Evasion of Philosophy: A Genealogy of Pragmatism,” “The Cornel West Reader” — and most recently, “Democracy Matters: Winning the Fight Against Imperialism.”
He has held positions at Union Theological Seminary, Yale University, Harvard University and the University of Paris.
