George Lewinski

Senior Producer, National Public Radio

As Foreign Editor for Marketplace Radio from 1989 to 1998, George Lewinski developed a worldwide reputation shaping coverage of international business and economics issues on U.S. public radio.

He continues to work with Marketplace — the leading business and financial radio news program in the United States — as Senior Contributing Editor.

Since 1996, Mr. Lewinski has also been the Doris and Davis Fisher Lecturer at the University of California at Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism where he teaches radio reporting.

Previously, Mr. Lewinski served as Foreign Editor and Producer for CBC Radio and Television News in Canada, 1975-1989. He received his B.A. in history from McGill University.
