Heinrich Arnold is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Detecon, the Deutsche Telekom Group’s own management consultancy. He is steering the consulting activities related to digital business models, Industry 4.0, and digital re-engineering.
Mr. Arnold began his career at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) and was the co-founder of one of the first German-Chinese biotechnology companies.
At Deutsche Telekom, he became the youngest R&D director of any DAX corporation. Over time, he has founded 10 subsidiaries and 20 spin-offs on behalf of Telekom in Israel, Silicon Valley and Berlin.
As Executive Chairman, he also coordinated the activities of Telekom Innovation Laboratories, the Corporate Research and Innovation at Deutsche Telekom AG.
Heinrich Arnold studied Technical Physics at the Technical University of Munich. He graduated with a Master of Science in Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Business Research from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich and MIT, as well as a Ph.D. summa cum laude in technology management.
Heinrich Arnold is lecturer in Innovation Management and author of the scientific book Technology Shocks on the management of radical technological change.
He is a curator at Fraunhofer and Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and has been appointed to the Young Global, European, and national Leader Forums of the BMW Quandt Foundation.
Since 2018, he has been Honorary Professor for Engineering of Digital Transformation at the TU Berlin.
