Jacques-chai Chomthongdi

Research Associate, Focus on the Global South

Jacques-chai Chomthongdi is a Research Associate at Focus on the Global South (www.focusweb.org), a program for development policy research, analysis and action, based in Bangkok.

He is also a co-founder and member of FTA Watch (www.ftawatch.org), a network of NGOs, academics, and social movements in Thailand monitoring and coordinating on issues related to bilateral and regional trade negotiations.

He is a writer and editorial team member of the Justice and Peace Journal, and a member of the Policy Committee of Caritas Thailand.

He is also a member of the newly-formed 'Thai Working Group for Climate Justice'.

He works extensively on alternative economic approaches and political rights in relation to the formation of public policies.
