Jorma Ollila

Chairman, Royal Dutch Shell Corporation

Jorma Ollila has been Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell plc and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nokia Corporation since June 2006.

Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of Nokia (199-2006). He joined Nokia in 1985 and later became President and CEO, a position in which he held from 1992 to 1999.

Mr. Ollila was instrumental in leading the company to the top position in the global cellular phone market. He is also a board member of the Ford Motor Company.

He was awarded a Ph.D. in political science by the University of Helsinki in 1995 and D.Sc. degree by the Helsinki University of Technology in 1998. He also has an M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics and an M.Sc. in English from the Helsinki University of Technology.

In 2003, Mr. Ollila was elected an honorary fellow of the London School of Economics.
