Justine Rosenthal is a Foreign Policy Research Fellow at the Brookings Institution.
Her areas of expertise include international terrorism, counter-terrorism strategies, nuclear proliferation, civil warfare and East Asian security.
Prior to working at Brookings, Ms. Rosenthal was the Director of the Executive Office for the Council on Foreign Relations. She was also a Luce Scholar and Lecturer at the College of Foreign Affairs in Beijing, China. Before that, Ms. Rosenthal was the Special Assistant to former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin.
Her articles have appeared in such publications as Foreign Affairs, Orbis and the Los Angeles Times.
Ms. Rosenthal expects to receive her Ph.D. from Columbia Univeristy in 2005, where she received her Masters degree in 2003. She completed her B.A. at the University of Chicago in 1998.
