William C. Danvers

Political Consultant

William C. Danvers was a Senior Director for the National Security Council under Sandy Berger and Tony Lake. Since 1999, he has been a consultant and lobbyist with the firm of Johnson, Madigan and Peck.

Mr. Danvers worked on Capitol Hill for 12 years in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, where he was a legislative assistant for foreign policy, a press secretary, the staff director of the House Banking Committee Subcommittee on International Trade, Finance and Monetary Policy — and as an economic advisor to Senator Joe Lieberman.

He also worked at the State Department as a Special Advisor to Strobe Talbott, who was then in charge of U.S. relations with the New Independent States. Immediately after leaving the State Department, he worked for the National Security Council (NSC) as a Senior Director for nearly four years under Sandy Berger and Tony Lake.

Upon leaving the NSC, he became the Washington representative for the OECD. In 1999, he joined the lobbying and consulting firm of Johnson, Madigan and Peck, where he is presently employed.
